It assumes you have a working knowledge of dollmaking and other crafts. Another frustrating aspect is that all the suggested brand name notions and fabrics used in this book can't be bought in this country. But if you are a knowledgable crafter you will be able to make sense of the directions and you certainly can find substitutes for the various notions and fabrics. Only problem is, it's impossible to find the kits like her doll face-painting kit which isn't sold in the USA. I finally ordered the catalog from Panduro Hobby, since it's coming from the UK it took about a month. Wasn't sure if my request went through because of the "county" and "city" and being not USA it fills out these fields differently, but it finally got here. So I guess I'm saying great book, great ideas and love the patterns included, but you may need to look elsewhere for the fabric or paint kits to duplicate the look on your own. |
